You have probably used our Help Wanted forum. Did you know about this forum for Sponsor Announcements?

It's a great place to post non-job specific announcements about your company. In this forum, you can feel free to toot your own horn about awards, job fairs, contract awards, whatever!

The more you can make an announcement appealing to our members, the better. For instance, if you win a contract with Boeing, mentioning the number of Java developer positions or a Java-related technology would be more appealing than just a notice about the win.

If you're sponsoring a community event, like a 10K walk for charity or something, why not use this forum to recruit some of our members to participate? Who knows - a relationship built in a non-technical activity may lead to a professional relationship later on.

Finally, feel free to use this forum to let us know about the "movers and shakers in your company. A member who reads that you've recruited a high caliber CEO may well want to consider joining a winning team.

Don't be dismayed is a lot of people don't view the announcement right away. We'll try to promote announcements to our members, and you certainly can when you sponsor a meeting. The more active this forum becomes, the more eyeballs your announcements will draw.

In summary, its use is wide open. Don't hesitate to use it, but please don't "hog it". One or two announcements a week would be fine.
